Professor Nicolas Voelcker studied chemistry at the University of Saarland and the RWTH Aachen (Germany). He obtained his PhD in chemistry from the RWTH Aachen in 1999. After his postdoctoral research at the Scripps Research Institute (1999-2001), he became a lecturer at Flinders University in 2001 and was promoted to full professor in 2008. Since 2012, Nicolas Voelcker is a full professor at the Mawson Institute of the University of South Australia (UniSA). In 2013, he was assigned deputy director of the Mawson Institute at UniSA.
