Participants are invited to submit manuscripts based on their EUROPTRODE 2016 conference presentations for possible publication in Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical or Sensing and Bio-Sensing Research with the intention of publishing in an Elsevier Virtual Special Issue that is dedicated to EUROPTRODE 2016 Conference.
A Virtual Special Issue (VSI) is an entirely new concept which essentially rules out possible delays in publication for contributors to the special issue and will make this conference special issue more complete and accessible than it has ever been. Please see below its advantageous characteristics:

Accepted papers are published individually in regular journal issues as soon as they are accepted;

Footnote indicating which conference they were presented will be included, and will link to the VSI;

The collection of VSI papers will be hosted on journal homepage site of Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical – with links to the relevant papers at Science Direct;

The VSI will include a preface, photos, award information if any, of the conference.
Authors are suggested reading the Scopes of these two journals carefully when selecting the best-fit journal for submission.
Please also note that journal Sensing and Bio-Sensing Research is an Open Access journal, that is, all articles will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download upon publication. The Open Access publication fee of this journal is USD 750(excluding taxes) will need to be paid by authors or on their behalf e.g. by their research funder or institution. Enter your user name and password (first time users will have to register);
After entering the title of your manuscript, please select article type “SI: EUROPTRODE 2016”;
Follow the remaining step-by-step instructions to submit your paper.

When preparing your manuscript(s), please carefully follow the Guide to Authors of your chosen journal, which you can find at journals’ homepages when you click on the above journals’ titles.
In your cover letter please mention that your manuscript is intended for the EUROPTRODE 2016 virtual special issue.
All manuscripts will be subjected to the mandatory selection process for the journal selected, including the strict peer review procedure; therefore acceptance for presentation at the meeting is not a guarantee for publication in the journal.
