Terms and Conditions

Accepted authors need to register until May 31, 2019

Online registration will close May 31, 2019. On-site registration at the conference venue with credit card is possible. An additional fee of € 50 is charged.

The conference fees for the symposium will include

  • Attendance of all scientific sessions
  • Book of abstracts
  • Coffee/refreshment breaks during the conference on Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Lunches on Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Social event on Tuesday evening

The exact amounts of the conference fees are:

Society members*:

  • Seniors:       200 €
  • Students**: 160 €

Non-society members:

  • Seniors:        240 €
  • Students**: 200 €

*Members of the European Organ-on-Chip Society (EUROoCS) are entitled to a reduced conference fee. Society members are required to send a written confirmation of their membership to eurooc2019@tugraz.at, otherwise the reduced fees will not be validated.
**Students are defined as attendees that have not yet acquired a doctoral degree. All Researchers beyond the PhD level are defined as senior attendees. A student ID or similar document proving student status must be sent via email to eurooc2019@tugraz.at, otherwise to reduced fees will not be validated.

Student Travel Awards: To promote participation of students in the conference the EUROoC 2019 organizers will offer travel awards for students. The award is meant to support personal attendance of a limited number of students at the conference. Students selected for the award will receive a fixed sum of 250 Euros. Students need to be the presenting author of an accepted conference abstract. The prize is awarded based on quality of the abstract, which is evaluated in the peer-review process. Awarded persons need to pay the conference registration fee and make their own travel arrangements. To apply send a written document proving the student status from your advisor (signature and stamp of institution) via email to eurooc2019@tugraz.at.

Final registration and payment of the Symposium fee must be done before May 31, 2019. Electronic payment by credit card (Mastercard, VISA, American Express) will be available.

Payment is possible by online payment (credit card) or on site. All payments for the conference are made in Euro. Registration on site will be possible via credit card. VAT is not levied because the Graz University of Technology is not an entrepreneur in accordance with § 2 Abs. 3 ÖUStG (Austrian VAT law) and Art 9 of the European VAT Directive for the services rendered in this case. For this reason no VAT and no VAT identification number is stated on the invoice.

Cancellation policy: Only written cancellation will be accepted and have to be sent to eurooc2019@tugraz.at. Cancellations before May 31, 2019 will be subject to a € 50,- administration fee. Cancellation after May 31, 2019 will result in forfeiture of the registration fee.

Passport and Visas: All non-residents of the EU are required to have a valid passport. Participants should check regarding visa requirements for travel to Austria. Applications should be made to the nearest Austrian Embassy or Consulate as soon as possible. Please contact eurooc2019@tugraz.at when you need a letter of invitation.

Note on accommodation: The EUROoC2019 Conference will take place on the old campus of Graz University of Technology. Graz Convention Bureau is offering a pre-booked room contingent for attendees of EUROoC2019 which can be directly booked via the conference homepage (www.eurooc2019.eu/?page_id=658). There are many more hotels in Graz that can be easily found and booked directly with the hotels or via any booking platforms.
